AN EXCITING YEAR

The year 2012 was an exciting one for me. At age 74 I was published for the first time and my few books can be found by searching Nancy Clark Townsend at createspace.com, Amazon and Barnes & Noble websites. One is a romance/mystery/suspense novel entitled "The Witness Wore Fur". The others are all books in a series I call "Furred & Feathered Friends". I started off with "Katrina Castaways", inspired by Hurricane Katrina and the plight of animals in the aftermath of that horrific storm and the flooding that followed. "Katrina" was followed by "Junkyard Dogs" and "The Cracked Turtle". I think you could classify this series as fantasy since the animals talk to one another - the stars in all of them are Bruno, the Newfoundland dog; Fawn, a tiny light fawn Chihuahua; Jasmine, a Siamese cat; and Willow, a yellow tabby cat. The original crew are soon joined by Ivory, a very pregnant white cat adrift on an inflated swimming pool raft; Toby, who is part Dachshund and has been swimming around looking for his owner; and Angus the Macaw parrot who flew from tree to tree until he came upon the house occupied by Bruno and friends. These characters are joined in later books by an assortment of critters, including some pit bulls and a box turtle. Although I didn't write this series with children in mind, they have been well received by youngsters as well as adults. I guess the only requirement is that you be an animal lover. In addition to Amazon (where I also have an author profile), you can check these out at BlueDragonPress.com (my publisher's website).
